ABOUT LEARNING RIGHTS LAW CENTER
Serving students for over 10 years, Learning Rights Law Center seeks to ensure that all students are provided with equitable access to the public education system and focuses on low-income students who have disabilities, face discrimination or are involved in the dependency or juvenile justice systems. Our staff provides pro bono legal counsel and direct representation. Our TIGER Program offers free training for parents so they can learn to navigate the special education system and advocate for their own children. ABOUT MINDS MATTER
Serving students for over 25 years, Minds Matter is an award-winning nationwide mentoring program transforming the lives of achieving high school students from low income backgrounds. Since 1991, 100% of Minds Matter alumni have matriculated to college; 94% of alumni receive that coveted college degree. Minds Matter serves students in 14 chapters in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Detroit, Houston Portland, Seattle, Boston, Cleveland, Denver, Philadelphia, Twin Cities and Washington, D.C. In a recent Columbia University study, researchers found that for every $1 of donor-invested funds in Minds Matter resulted in $17 of measurable positive social impact.
